ICT Support Apprentice

Grade: Apprentice rate

Salary: £157.62 per week in Year 1

Hours: 37 per week

Contract length: up to 2 years

We are offering a fantastic training opportunity for an Apprentice to work in our ICT Service. The successful candidate will be working alongside our experienced team of ICT Officers and other staff assisting them with the delivery of the ICT Helpdesk service.  You will be required to provide telephone and face-to-face support to users of Authority IT systems, in particular in the use of the MS Office suite of applications, (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access and Outlook), but also on a wide variety of different hardware and software systems.

You will also be required to assist with the installation hardware and software systems.  The role will involve the routine maintenance of printers, and occasional digitisation of data into the Authority’s GIS (Geographic Information System).

You should be a confident communicator, able to manage your own workload to meet deadlines, flexible, enthusiastic, have a good sense of humour with an eye for detail and enjoy working in a small but highly committed team.  

Ability to drive would be an advantage as occasional travel to other sites within the National Park will be required as part of the role.  You will enter into a training agreement to gain an apprenticeship qualification in (Level 3) ICT Infrastructure Technician.
