Planning Enabler

Grade: 5

Salary: £25,463 - £30,756 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract length: 3 years fixed term

Dartmoor National Park Authority is responsible for managing one of the most distinctive and important landscapes in the country.

We are looking for a planning or housing professional to join our busy planning team.  The Planning Enabler will work closely between our Development Management and Forward Planning teams to support the delivery of affordable housing and mixed use development in Dartmoor’s towns and villages.  They will support communities, landowners and builders in bringing forward development which meets identified local needs, working in partnership to identify deliverable sites and schemes, seeking funding opportunities and unlocking development.   

You will have strong communication and negotiation skills, and work well independently.  You will bring enthusiasm to the team, and have a positive approach to planning, finding solutions and seeking innovation.  Ideally you will already have good experience of enabling, and working with communities, landowners, and builders.
