I have been a Ranger since 2006 and my area is the North East side of the moor.
A large part of my time is spent on the management of the public rights of way network and open access land. My role is one of close liaison with land owners and farmers in organising and agreeing works.
My other work involves working closely with the local community, parish councils and schools. The support offered is varied and can be anything from delivering talks, assisting with community led projects, leading volunteers on conservation tasks, working with schools on wildlife projects and general information about the work of the Ranger Service.
