Under national legislation, the Authority must charge for the submission of planning applications. Full details of the current charges and advice notes are set out in the Scale of Fees Form 2012.

Application Validation
When a planning application is received, it is examined to ensure that the proposal does need permission and that the forms, plans, certificates and fee, where required, are in order. If necessary, the application will be returned for correction or further information.
Otherwise, it will be registered and an acknowledgement sent to the applicant or their nominated agent.
