Local Plan Review
A lot has changed since we adopted our current local plan and we are now going through the process of reviewing it. On the Local Plan Review page you can learn more about what is involved and stay updated with progress.
Current Local Plan
The Local Plan guides development and land use in the National Park.
The current plan is made up of a series of adopted policies but it is in the process of being replaced by a new Local Plan. It will continue to be valid until the new plan is adopted.
The Local Plan or 'Development Plan' for Dartmoor National Park is made up of three documents.
Core Strategy (policies COR1 - COR24)
This plan sets out the vision, aims and strategic policies for development in the National Park.

- policies for specific sites, setting out particular areas of land for development
