Photography Competition Gallery

Nearly 200 online submissions were received for the Winning Landscapes photographic competition which ran from May to September 2012. Photographers were asked to send in their photos showing what makes Dartmoor a winning landscape to them – embracing the natural beauty of the landscape, the diversity of wildlife or the fascinating cultural heritage.

Phil Hemsley, Emsworthy-Red-BarnThe winning entry of the red barn at Emsworthy was submitted by Phil Hemsley.  He will join Lee Pengelly on a full day landscape photography workshop.






Neil Porter imageThe second prize of a large canvas from South West Colour Labs goes to Neil Porter for his photo of Higher Tor, near Belstone.






Richard-Taylor-Holwell-TreeThe third prize of a Tamrac dual access photo backpack from Mifsuds Photographic Supplies is awarded to Richard Taylor for his image of a hawthorn tree surrounded by bluebells at Holwell Lawn.






Charlotte-Houghton-Clapper-BridgeThe Under 18s winner was Charlotte Houghton for her image of the clapper bridge at Postbridge.  She will receive a large canvas from South West Colour Labs.
