Dry Grassland Key Wildlife Areas

This habitat is confined to the enclosed farmland and is comprised of dry grasslands that have not been reseeded or ploughed and contain a good variety of wild flowers and grasses. They may be managed as haymeadows or simply grazed periodically throughout the year and can be found on acidic or neutral soils. There are three areas which have been classified as KWAs, covering just 1.3% of the DNP area (12 square km).
