Dartmoor Local Access Forum Application

Could you contribute to the development of countryside access within Dartmoor National Park? Do you have the passion, skills and knowledge to help people make the most of the many opportunities for enjoying Dartmoor?

Dartmoor National Park Authority is currently seeking members to appoint to the Dartmoor Access Forum.

The Forum provides independent advice to the National Park Authority and provides an exciting opportunity for the public to make an important contribution to public access within a protected landscape.

The Authority would welcome applications from members of the public with an interest in improving public access on Dartmoor. This could include people with a background or interest in one or more of the following categories:

1. Users of public rights of way and access land including walkers, cyclists, horse riders, motorised users, outdoor sport and recreation.

2. Land managers with land crossed by public rights of way or access land, Dartmoor common land, including landowners, tenant farmers and commoners.

3. Those with wider interests which may include underrepresented groups, social inclusion, tourism, health, and transport.

Forum members act in a voluntary capacity and the Authority is able to meet reasonable travel expenses and childcare costs to enable attendance at meetings.
