Time for Nature Challenge

Time for Nature Challenge

2021 marks 70 years since Dartmoor was designated as a National Park – a major milestone and one we’re celebrating with our Time for Nature challenge.

This challenge is about making time for wildlife in our busy lives; enjoying the moments that lift our spirits and making new discoveries about the world around us. If we all make small changes in what we do then together we can protect the wildlife around us for future generations.

The challenges are split into three themes and you need to do at least 5 from each section.

  • Time to enjoy nature
  • Time to discover nature
  • Time to protect nature

You earn points for each activity you do. Get a total of 35 points for the Bronze Award, 50 points for the Silver Award, or 70 points for the Gold Award.

Always make sure to check the latest COVID-19 guidance before you head out and help us to love moor life by following the Ranger Code.

Sharing is caring!

Wherever and whenever you do a challenge, we'd love to see your photos. Tag us in your posts on social media and use #TimeForNature.

Record your progress

Keep a record of the activities you complete in our downloadable record sheet. When you have finished email us at education@dartmoor.gov.uk with a copy of your score to claim your certificate. If you complete activities adding up to 70 points, you’ll get a Gold Award and be in with a chance of winning a goodie bag.
