Tai Chi is a unique, comprehensive and easy to learn system of movement. It has its roots set deep in Chinese medicine and culture and is an exercise practice based on principles of relaxation, physical alignments and mindfulness. Its natural shapes and flowing rhythm are specifically designed for developing strength, flexibility and all round human health, which includes mental as well as physical wellbeing.

These days Tai Chi has become global and is enjoyed by many different types of people from many nations. It really is a versatile exercise type and is suited to young and old, women and men, the already fit and the not so fit and it can even be played seated.

10 - 10.45  Tai Chi Essence £6 per class or £30 for 6 week block
10 - 11.30  Extended Class to include Short Form Sequence step by step - beginners welcome.
£8 per class or £42 for 6 week block
10 - 12       Each of the above plus Complete Short Form
£9 per class or £45 for 6 week block

Tai Chi Essence (10-10.45) is suitable for complete beginners as well as more experienced players, you learn tai chi and qigong sequences and exercises to maintain an ease of movement throughout your body, strengthen your vitality, improve your coordination and balance and develop a natural confidence in moving.
Tai Chi Short Form Sequence (10.45-11.30) is the classical moving sequence of Tai Chi. A posture is learned each week so that over time you
build up your sequence until you have learned the whole piece. We learn the Dr. Chi version of the Cheng Man-Ching Short Form.
Complete Short Form (11.30-12) includes running through the whole Short Form and looking in more detail at any posture from the sequence.

Angus is a resident of Manaton and is local to Dartmoor. He is an honorary president of the Tai Chi Union of Great Britain.
His books include: ‘The Complete Illustrated Guide to Tai Chi’, ‘Secrets of Qigong’ and ‘Illustrated Elements of Tai Chi’.
He has also published 2 instructional DVDs, which can also be in digital format as a download.
