Look out for some fun Ranger Ralph events throughout the year.
The Ranger Ralph Club is open to all children between the ages of 5-12 years and is ideal for the young nature enthusiast in your family.
Ranger Ralph meets on a regular basis and each activity is safely led by a Dartmoor National Park Ranger. The club runs up to twelve outdoor events per year .These are all free to attend once you are a member. Joining details

Join us for a fun day of apple’y activities. Pick apples from the orchard, help scrat them and taste the juice, fresh from the press. Try the Longest Peel challenge and take home an apple bird feeder for the garden.

Forest Dens and Dragon Sneezes
Location, location, location - well that’s what they say about finding a home and it applies to dens as well.
Come and learn some design techniques to build a den from natural materials. You will learn how to tie a variety of useful knots and how to start a fire with a dragons sneeze!!.....so that we can brew up a storm (or hot chocolate!) with our Original Storm Kettles.

A Winter Fayre
Come along to Lydford Gorge and join the National Trust to share their winter fayre. Make some decorations from natural materials with the Ranger Ralph team.
There will be Dartmoor Christmas trees, garlands, mistletoe and holly for sale along with local produce and unusual gifts.
