Look out for some fun Ranger Ralph events throughout the year.
The Ranger Ralph Club is open to all children between the ages of 5-12 years and is ideal for the young nature enthusiast in your family.
Ranger Ralph meets on a regular basis and each activity is safely led by a Dartmoor National Park Ranger. The club runs up to twelve outdoor events per year .These are all free to attend once you are a member. Joining details

Dartmoor’s Early Man
Walk and discover early remains from 4,000 years ago, woolly mammoth siting’s are not guaranteed. Make your own prehistoric man or woman to take home. Meet at Bellever Forest car park, Postbridge, (SX 646 787)

Ranger Ralph cycle ride on the Granite Way
Bring your own bike and cycle with Ella and Rob along the scenic Granite Way from Devon Cycle Hire at Sourton to Lydford Castle and back! Please check and make sure your bike is in fully working order. Bikes are also available to hire if required.

Come and join Ian and Andy to explore this unique geological area of Dartmoor. We will help you appreciate Dartmoor’s timeline to try and understand why we see the landscape visible to us today and learn how a continuous human process, has changed the area in more modern times. There will be a discovery trail around the area to test your navigational skills and to help learn more about the recent industrial archaeology plus the chance to harness water power for yourselves, on a miniature scale!
