Connecting Devon and Somerset programmes

Phase 1 of the Connecting Devon and Somerset (CDS) project has delivered additional superfast broadband access to an estimated 60% of premises within Dartmoor. In addition, over £700,000 of additional funding was secured by Dartmoor and Exmoor National Park Authorities to extend the reach to 75% of Dartmoor and 69% of Exmoor premises by the end of 2016.

This first phase was delivered by BT Openreach using a new fibre connection to the cabinet (fttc) or to the premise (fttp), meaning properties within the rollout area can access a superfast service via a telephone land line.
