Rhôs Pasture Key Wildlife Areas

Rhôs Pasture Key Wildlife Areas

Rhôs pastures are wet grasslands that commonly have purple moor grass and/or rushes, along with a good variety of wild flowers and other grasses. On Dartmoor, they are found in valley bottoms and may stretch for several kilometres, often interspersed with wet woodlands which form important parts of these KWAs. There are four KWAs covering 2.2% of the DNP area (21 square km), two of which incorporate more than one valley.
