Challenge 42: Take a climate friendly journey by walking or cycling
Points available: 4
About the challenge
Leave your car at home. Do your bit to tackle climate change and reduce your carbon footprint whilst exploring the countryside.
Get on your bike and go for an adventure. There are lots of great trails, quiet roads and bridle paths to explore.
You could follow
- the Wray Valley Trail from Bovey Tracey (or Newton Abbot) up to Moretonhampstead,
- the Granite Way from Okehampton to Lydford
- Drakes Trail from Plymouth to Tavistock.
These routes are mainly off road, following the line of old railways and are a good start. Plan your route and check the route maps for the road sections and any steep climbs
