History Hunters Family Fun Day

A free family fun day with our History Hunters travelling through time to uncover the secrets of Dartmoor. There will crafts, activities and things to make and take home bringing to life the Brilliant Bronze Age, the Magnificent Middleages and Vibrant Victorians. Have a go at being an archaeologist uncovering treasures in our excavation trays, make a spear, shape a clay pot or spin some wool
- Make a Hunter Gatherer spear to take home
- Make a mini clay Beaker to take home (like the Bronze Age Beaker people)
- Build a miniature Bronze Age round house
- Be a History Hunter and sift through the sands of time to uncover ancient artefacts
- Help complete our Time Line by adding your pictures and drawings
- Play some familiar and not so familiar Medieval Games
- Travel through Time with our storyteller
- Have a go at wool spinning
- Explore the History Hunters trail
- Take a closer look at some of the replica artefacts found on Dartmoor in the Visitor Centre
