Education Guide Service Travel Grant

Education Guide Service Travel Grant

Some schools wishing to take part in a DNPA activity, may find that transport costs are a barrier to them visiting Dartmoor National Park.

We have a limited number of Travel Grants which can cover travel costs up to a maximum £500 to enable schools to undertake a visit with us.

Eligibility

We are only able to fund transport costs between April 2026 and March 2027. To enable more children to benefit from a visit to the National Park we offer two levels of grant based on the % Free School meals within a school:

  • If the % Free School Meals is between 15% - 24.9% we will offer a grant to cover 50% of the total coach transport cost up to £250
  • If the % Free School Meals is 25% or above, we will offer a grant to cover the full cost of coach transport up to £500
  • Grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis when applied for alongside a booking with our Education Guide Service
  • Grants will be paid upon completion of a visit to Dartmoor with our Education Guides Service

The grants are administered by Dartmoor National Park Authority with funding from A J Bell.
