Biographical Details

Peter farms in partnership with his wife at Smallcombe, Rattery.  Being heavily involved in the community construction of the new Rattery Village Hall in the 1990s, led to Peter becoming a Parish Council member and Chair for 10 years.

Peter was first elected to South Hams District Council in 2011, currently representing South Brent ward and was honoured to be elected Chairman of the Council for 2016/17.

Peter's family have roots on Dartmoor going back many generations and he has many close connections with farmers and business within the Park area.  Peter is a keen walker on Dartmoor and the South West Coast path.
