Ranger Led 75th Anniversary Walk
Sunday, 28 June 2026 at 10:30 - 14:00
Join one of the Dartmoor National Park Rangers for an exploration of the Dewerstone woods and surrounding area, delving into the ecology, archaeology, and folklore that make the area such a fascinating place. Starting at the Dewerstone car park by Shaugh Bridge, we will meander our way up through temperate rainforest, where we will pause for a brief talk on the wildlife that makes this place so important. Our walk will continue across Wigford Down to Cadover Bridge, where we will investigate some of the issues the ranger team has been facing. After pausing for a short lunch stop, we will continue down the historic pipe track, completing our loop back to the Dewerstone car park.
