From its granite tors, open moorlands, bogs and mires to its wooded river valleys and traditional hay meadows Dartmoor is a wonderful place for wildlife. Visit your favourite place and learn more about three of the animals and plants that live there or the habitats that make it so special

Think about your favourite place and why you like it. Is it a view from a high tor across open moorland, or a riverside spot in a wooded valley? The National Park website is a good place to discover more about these habitats and the wildlife that they are important for.
