Celebrating 70 Years
2021 is the 70th anniversary of the designation of Dartmoor as one of UK's first National Parks, on 30 October 1951.
Dartmoor was one of the first places to be designated as a National Park; the Peak District, Lake District and Snowdonia were also awarded the designation in the same year.
We’ve planned some special activities and events which we’re inviting you to get involved in, no matter where you are!
Travel back in time in a new exhibition at Princetown Visitor Centre. We've teamed up with the Dartmoor Trust and the Museum of Dartmoor Life to bring the story of the National Park to life with fascinating archive images and items.
