Medieval Marvels Family event

Tours take place at 10:30am booking essential.
A free family session at Higher Uppacott - a Grade 1 listed medieval longhouse of national importance. As well as exploring the house, which is quintessentially the home of an ordinary Yeoman, you can test your medieval food knowledge, have a go at writing with quill pens, try medieval games, make medieval toothpaste or perhaps listen to a legend or two (final activities decided on the day depending on the group). Suitable for children 5+.
Meeting Point: Please meet at Higher Uppacott where you will be directed by the guide as to where to park as space is limited. From Ashburton take the Dartmeet/Two bridges road and HU is located approx. ½ mile from Poundsgate just past the Methodist chapel (on your let).
Advisory: Please be aware when booking that there are several steps, low beams and uneven floors within the longhouse. There is limited heating so please dress warmly.
Dogs: Sorry no dogs (except assistance dogs).
Duration: The event will take approx. 2 hrs.
