Biographical Details

Peter has lived and worked in the National Park for most his life.  After a short spell in the Army Air Corps as an officer, Peter went into business for himself and during this time he has also been running the family agri-business. Peter has been an active member of the NFU and CONFOR which allows him to indulge his interest in farming and forestry.  His other passion for the moors has been used to great effect as a Ten Tors team manager for the over 20 years, which also involves helping to organise the event.  Peter was appointed as a Secretary of State member in 2008 to DNPA and finished his term of office in 2016 having been Chairman of the Authority for two of those years. Peter also serves as a member of the EA Regional Flooding Committee representing land management and also chairs the Environment Sub-group.
