Challenge 35: Make your garden bog friendly

Points available: 3
About the challenge
You can make you garden bog friendly by stopping your use of peat as a compost and growing medium.
Make your own compost by recycling your garden waste and vegetable scraps. Build a compost heap in the corner of your garden and you'll soon have wonderful compost which will be fantastic for your plants and even better for the upland peat bogs
Helpful tips
Don’t worry if there is no room in your garden for a compost heap. Your local council collects your kitchen waste and will compost it for you in their giant compost heaps. When you are next at the garden centre look out for peat free compost.
