Sustainable Stories: Exploring and Protecting Our National Parks
Friday, 22 August 2025 at 10:30 - 12:00
Join us for an inspiring workshop where you’ll explore the wonders of our National Parks, hear from local experts and storytellers, and create your own stories about protecting these incredible places. Be prepared to be curious, get creative, and use all your imagination! Highlights include:
- Group storytelling
- The chance to write your own creative piece
- A surprising conversation with nature itself, thanks to AI-powered chatbots that let you “talk” to trees and plants.
It’s going to be interactive, imaginative, and full of wonder!
By combining creativity with a deeper understanding of nature, this workshop will empower young voices to speak up for the future of our planet. Whether you're passionate about the environment, love to tell stories, or just want to explore new ideas - this session is for you!
No previous storytelling or drawing experience is required to participate.
Designed and organised by Emily Barrett, this workshop is a creative and fun opportunity for young people and families to imagine and create a more sustainable future for nature. It is supported by a storytelling grant, as part of the “New Perspectives” programme by Campaign for National Parks - a national initiative championing young voices and fresh ideas about People, Climate and Nature in our National Parks.
What is the future of our national parks? What do we want it to look like? What stories do YOU want to share about nature, climate change, or your experience of our parks?
