Dartmoor Connections Festival

Join Rebecca for an online family workshop to create medieval banners.

Learn about the castles on the moor and the surrounding areas as you make your very own flag. Find out how the symbols and colours of the banners had hidden meanings. Will you be a red warrior, or a silver person of peace?

We’ll be creating banner out of paper, card or cloth and using pens, pencils or paints for our colours.

Things you’ll need:

Ruler
Pencil for drawing
Old fabric or large sheet of paper A3 size
Pens or pencils for colouring

Optional:

Templates (to be put online week before the event)
Wooden stick (doweling)
