Dartmoor is justly celebrated for its Middle Bronze Age archaeology which consists of entire preserved landscapes of settlement and the remains of agriculture in the form of extensive field systems; the famous ‘Dartmoor reaves.’

Reaves appear in the archaeological record in the centuries around 1,500 BC after two and a half millennia during which the most enduring human features in the landscape consist of monuments associated with ceremony, ritual and the dead.

Join National Park archaeologist Dr. Lee Bray in an exploration of the evidence for this fascinating period and what it can tell us about the communities who lived here at this time.
