STEM Nest Make Challenge

We're challenging you to create your own magnificent nests this February, just like the birds around us on Dartmoor will be doing in March and April.
You can send in pictures to visit@dartmoor.gov.uk to receive your challenge certificate, and don't forget to share your masterpieces with us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as well.
Hurry! This challenge will end on Sunday 21st February.
The Challenge:
- You can only use materials from your garden, around your house, or a short walk in your local area. Always ask an adult before taking or picking up items and wash your hands after handling any natural materials.
- The materials can be natural, man-made or a mixture of both (just like some bird’s nests!)
- The nest needs to fit a toy or two eggs in without breaking
- You need to think about how to make it warm and resistant to water and wind
- Finally… have fun!
